For the past 5 years I've been developing as a glass artist.  Where in my painting I struggled with applying the Monet palatte, in glass I find it comes much more easily.  This is probably due to the innate interaction of the work with the light - instead of painting in the light, it seems like I am letting it out of the glass.

I've worked in most of the forms of glass work, and find that I get the greatest pleasure from lamp (torch) work and bead making.  Following is an album of some of my work.  My work is distinctive because of using more color, better glass, and 100% of the beads are hand made.  My jewelry pieces are available through several fine jewelers in the NW corner of Connecticut, and prices range from $120-150 for a typical necklace.  Note that I am very much a commercial artist, and will do commissioned work.

If you get interested in glasswork and want to try your own hand, or simply want to participate more deeply in a commissioned work, I teach at Glassworks in Burlington Connecticut, and you are welcome to apply for the regularly scheduled courses.

Oboe, EMT, and now archery, all added to student life.  Until Colby opens its door again in the fall, I'll be working as counselor at a day camp while balancing the rest of my life.

I'm busy being 15, busy with bassoon, football and my first summer of being a camp counselor.  I enjoy playing Mario Kart and built my own computer (dual core Wintel running Vista 64, 20% overclocked and solid).
